Below please find the information about numerous DAAD events, research and scholarships at universities all over the Baltic states. 

DAAD events 

Fairs
The DAAD Information Centre Riga will be present at several education fairs in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to inform about study and research in Germany as well as about DAAD scholarship possibilities. Visit us in order to get consultation at first hand!
  • On February 7 - 9 we will be present at the "Studijos" in Vilnius. Further information about the fair can be found here.
  • On February 13 Tallinn University of Technology organizes a Study Adroad Fair. Again, we are happy to provide information to students who are interested in studying in Germany. Information about the fair can be found here.
  • On March 1 - 3 we are back in Riga, at the "Skola". The programme and further information about the fair can be found here.
  • On March 15 - 16, the Information Centre will be represented with a stand at Orientiir 2019 in Narva. Further information, in Russian and Estonian, can be found here.
  • On March 17, the Days of International Education will take place in Tallinn. Also there you will find us! More information can be found here.
Committee trip
The selection process for the study scholarship applications, which had to be handed in in November, has reached its next step. After the applications have been sighted, interviews will take place. For this purpose, a selection committee from Germany will travel through Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania between February 17 and 21. We wish all applicants good luck!

Announcements

DAAD language assistants at Daugavpils University and Vytautas-Magnus-University Kaunas
The DAAD offers possibilities to language assistants in Daugavpils and Kaunas for teaching German and supporting local lecturers and researchers. The Language Assistance programme is aimed at young graduates of German Philology, a regional philology or other fields in the social sciences and humanities, who lived in Germany in the last two years prior to their departure. Applications for language assistance in Daugavpils and Kaunas will be accepted until March 3, 2019. More information is available here

Project competition of the Baltic-German University Liaison Office
The Baltic-German University Liaison Office funds projects that strengthen scientific cooperation between Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on the one hand, and Germany on the other. Projects from all scientific fields and in different formats can be promoted, e.g.  lectures and seminars, research stays, conferences, publications, etc. For a project to be conducted between June 1 2019 and November 15 2019, the application deadline is March 15 2019.
