The aim of the course is to develop language proficiency oriented to B2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, with application of acquired professional language skills in academic and practical activities of studies.

Development of general competencies: ability to present ideas, construct a substantiated reasoning line both in speaking and writing; ability to work independently, communicate and collaborate; the use information and data sources, and the use of information technologies.

Development of subject-specific competencies: ability to read, understand and critically analyse authentic texts, to prepare an argumentative speech, to develop and practice skills in referencing, quoting, paraphrasing, and avoiding plagiarism.
